I’m delighted that my advance copy of Once Upon A Wish has dropped through my letterbox! Big thanks to fab editor, Joe Marriott, and the team at Random House.
I am absolutely over the moon at the brilliant illustrations by the talented Sara Ogilvie (thank you, Sara!) and I’m also delighted to be donating 5% of author royalties to the wonderful baby charity, Bliss.
Bliss is an amazing charity, dedicated to babies born too soon, too small, too sick. Every year 90,000 babies in the UK need neonatal care and Bliss aims to reach every one of these.
3 of my 5 babies spent time in intensive care when they were born. Although we were lucky and didn’t need a very long hospital stay, we met some parents whose babies had been born very prematurely, some as early as 27 weeks, and had been there for months.
Bliss does so much to help babies who need extra help, including providing support and advice to parents , supporting research and providing specialist Bliss nurses. I’m delighted Once Upon A Wish will be able to contribute to this.
