I’m so happy to welcome ‘The Mouse Who Sailed the Seas’ into the world today! I had so much fun writing this book and I sincerely hope everyone has a lot of fun reading it.
The creation of picture books is such a team effort so extra-big cheesy thanks to my lovely agent, Julia Churchill, for arranging the deal; to Melissa Fairley and all the team at Egmont for the art design, editorial and PR work (and for publishing it!) and, of course, to the super-talented Nick East for his brilliant, hilarious illustrations, which make me smile every time.
This book is donating 5% of author royalties to the brilliant ICP Support This charity raises funds and awareness about a liver condition in pregnancy which is associated with serious consequences for the baby. The amazing support and information from this charity meant that all of my ICP babies arrived safely into the world – and they will all be helping out at the launch party on Saturday!
So, wishing Mouse all the best as he sets sail on his adventurous quest for cheese.
