Snots of fun at School!

A big, snotty thank you to Bickleigh-on-Exe Primary School and Pre-School for inviting Paul Cherrill and me in for a Robo-Snot visit!

The children listened absolutely beautifully while I read the icky-sticky tale of Little Robot.

Then illustrator Paul Cherrill created a snot-tastic Bickleigh robot, with help from the children. What should the robot look like? Brilliant suggestions from the children, including having a washing machine for a tummy (complete with a television set inside!) and having a light bulb for a nose!

Bit by bit, the drawing was created…

With a great surprise reveal at the end!

Paul also treated the children to a brand new ‘Robo-Snot’ song…

And the children had great fun joining in the sneezes! (Earplugs and tissues at the ready).

I loved making junk model robots when I was a little girl, and we were AMAZED at a specially-made robot brought in by one little boy. It even had light-up eyes!

Such a wonderful morning. A big thank you to the staff for organising the event and to the lovely children, whose enthusiasm for all things snotty and bogeyful made for a fun and fabulous morning.
