13 May School is cool!
Just back from my second school visit in 3 days. And it’s just wonderful! I don’t bother feeling nervous anymore, as I know it’s going to be fun. I took ‘Gruff’s Guide to Fairy Tale Land’ to Years 1 & 2 today and it was great seeing the children laugh, gasp (both in the right places!), talk, write and enjoy the visit as much as I did. They did of course LOVE Benij Davies’ illustrations (I swear you can almost smell the armpits of the troll!) and they wrote some brilliant postcards from their imaginary holiday there. Bringing the book alive to the children makes me feel so alive myself. So a big thank you to all the children and teachers involved.
