Pirate fun at the Redoubt

Pirate fun at the Redoubt

Big thanks to Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress and to everyone who came along to the launch of Pirate Blunderbeard: Worst. Holiday. Ever.

I had great fun performing a dramatized reading of the book, complete with a pair of pirate pants…

…there was a treasure hunt around the old, Napoleonic fortress…

…a lucky dip of giant worms (you’ll have to read the book to find out why on earth giant worms are involved!)…

…treasure maps to design, colour and guess where the treasure is…

The children really got into the spirit of things!

Congratulations to the two winners, who each went home with a signed copy of the book.

It’s always great fun running these events. Looking forward to doing some more soon!
