Over halfway there!

Over halfway there!

This morning I managed to complete chapter 9  (of 17 chapters) of the novel due in February. Deadlines and small children don’t always mix, especially over school holidays, but it’s encouraging to feel it’s all going in the right direction!

After this draft is done, I have to go back through it at least twice and I’ll hopefully include a little more historical detail. I love the Tudor period (when the novel is set) so it’ll be fun adding some more splashes of Tudor colour to the work.

I’ll try not to think about the press releases I need to write for Gruff, the launch planning, the writing course I’m running in a couple of weeks….Yes, I’ll focus instead on the achievement of being over halfway through the first draft of a novel!
