03 Aug A Year in the Life of Some Monsters
It’s hard to believe that Do Not Enter the Monster Zoo has now been out for a whole year! A big thank you to everyone who’s bought the book and helped raise funds for Tommy’s.
It’s always good to celebrate the journey of a book and looking back over the year, there have been some wonderful moments for the monsters.
It all started with the launch at my local library…

Lots of little monsters came along!
…and it’s been very exciting that Monster Zoo has been shortlisted for so many fabulous book prizes, including The Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2013, Booktrust Best Book Awards, Rotherham Children’s Book Prize and Stockport Children’s Book Awards.

The monsters took part in the Ampthill Literary Festival…
…ran a workshop at the Roald Dahl Museum…
and, of course, there have been many mad and marvellous visits to schools…
Year 1 & 2 created some monsters of their own
So, happy birthday, Monster Zoo, and looking forward to another year of monstery mayhem!
