Monster Zoo Launch

Monster Zoo Launch

There was lots of monstery fun at the launch last Saturday. Huge thanks to everyone who came, took part or helped.

We had monstrous mask-making, a treasure map to guess where the Zookeeper had dropped his keys (the winning answer was the square with the Grimblegraw’s huge and hairy jaws!), monster skittles, colouring pages from the book, a ‘Design a Monster’ competition (the winner shall be announced soon) and of course a story about some cheeky monsters and a rather clever little boy. A busy but brilliant morning!

It’s wonderful to dream up a story and see it become a book. But it’s even better to see that book being enjoyed by children. Where, for one magical moment, you can whisk them away to another world where anything can happen. Especially in a zoo full of mischievous monsters…
